How fast do you ship?
Orders ship from Virginia within 2 business days of payment (Monday–Friday, not US holidays), by USPS Priority Mail. You get a tracking number by email as soon as the label is made.
How do you pack a slab?
Each slab is bubble-wrapped and boxed with padding in a 14 × 13 × 3 inch box so it can't shift. If you also buy raw books, they ride between rigid cardboard inside the same box.
Do I have to sign for my package?
Only on orders of $500 or more. If no one is home, USPS leaves a notice and holds the package at your local post office.
Can I check that a slab is real?
Yes. Every slab's CGC certification number is on its page. Tap "Verify at CGC" to see CGC's own record for that exact slab.
How do you grade books?
Slabs are graded by CGC, never by us. Raw books get an exact grade from us on the Overstreet 10-point scale, graded strictly, with photos of the actual book. The full details are on our Grading Standards page.
Can I return a CGC slab?
Graded slabs are final sale: no returns for a change of mind, a different opinion of the grade, or small case scuffs. The photos show the exact slab you'll get. If it arrives damaged, or it's not the book pictured (the cert number doesn't match), email nerdalertcc@gmail.com within 3 days of delivery and we'll make it right. See our Refund Policy.
What if my order is damaged or lost?
Email us within 3 days of delivery with photos of the box, the packing and the book. We'll make it right: a replacement, a partial refund for the damage, or a full refund once it's back with us, and we handle the claim with USPS. If tracking hasn't moved for 7 days, contact us and we'll open a USPS search.
Can I buy several books and save on shipping?
Yes. Put them all in your cart: they ship together in one box and checkout works out the combined shipping for you.
Do you offer local pickup or ship outside the US?
Not at this time. We ship within the United States only.
How do I pay?
Through Shopify's secure checkout: cards, Shop Pay and PayPal. We never see your full card number.
Do you buy comics?
Yes. Randy buys comic books and whole collections and pays on the spot (cash, check, PayPal, Venmo or Cash App): any year, any condition, even coverless. Text or call 757-395-0980, or see Sell your comics to us.
How much are my old comics worth?
It depends on age, title and condition. Our value guide shows rough ranges by cover price, or call or text 757-395-0980 and we'll tell you what you have.
Does this site remember me?
Only on your own device: it remembers your last visit to show what's new. Nothing is sent to us.
